BrightAxis Beta Privacy Policy

We’re committed to protecting the privacy of every parent, educator, therapist, and transportation staff member who uses BrightAxis. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have regarding your information.

During the BrightAxis beta, we may collect the following types of information:

Contact Information: Name, email, and role (e.g., parent, educator, therapist)

Support Context: Age group or developmental stage of the child you support, types of services (e.g., ABA, OT, speech)

Insurance Info (Optional): To help explore future integrations with providers

Feedback Responses: Voluntary answers to check-in questions or surveys.

You control what you choose to share inside your personalized BrightAxis Notion workspace.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

Set up and personalize your beta workspace. Understand the needs of our early users.

Improve tool design and functionality based on real-world use. Communicate with you about beta participation, updates, and support.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data + AI Usage

We take data stewardship seriously. Specifically:

No information you share is used to train or query AI models.

Any AI tools used internally (e.g., ChatGPT) are never connected to your personal data or workspaces.

Your child's information is never shared, sold, or used to train systems of any kind

4. Security & Storage

BrightAxis currently uses Notion as a secure platform for hosting your beta workspace. While we are not yet HIPAA-compliant, we follow strong data handling practices, including:

Role-based access

Encrypted transmission (via Notion)

Optional consent around sensitive data fields (e.g., insurance info)

We are actively working toward HIPAA compliance and exploring partnerships that include Business Associate Agreements (BAAs).

5. Your Rights + Choices

As a BrightAxis beta participant, you can:

Request access to or deletion of your data at any time

Choose what information to share and with whom

Pause your participation at any point

Opt out of feedback requests or communication
